Manpower, Doctors' Syndicate Follow up on Egyptian Assaulted in Kuwait

The Labor Representation Office of the Manpower Ministry, at the Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait and Doctors Syndicate in Egypt, is monitoring the health condition of the Egyptian doctor who was subjected to an assault by a Kuwaiti citizen at Mubarak al-Kabeer Eastern Medical Center. The Ministry official spokesman Haitham Saad al-Din explained that the Minister Muhammad Saafan, received an urgent report through Ahmed Ibrahim the Labor Representation Office head in Kuwait.

He indicated, that the Ministry is following the investigations progress as the doctor was called to identify the perpetrator image at the Raqqa police station. Also, he confirmed, that the doctor is recovering and continues to work despite the injuries. On other hand, the Doctors Syndicate represented by Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Qadi, contacted the doctor to follow up on the case; they are providing all support as well as to find out the incident details.

The role of Syndicate:

The Syndicate reported that will continue to follow the situation closely with the doctor based on its duty to protect its members wherever they are. Also, the Secretary General of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate Osama Abdel Hay, contacted with the Kuwaiti Medical Association President Dr. Ahmed Al-Enezi, to follow up on the case and providing all support. The doctor who was subjected to an assault explained, that while she was examining the perpetrator ear in the Raqqa clinic, he held her in the examination room without cameras, beating and insulting her. She was not able to ask security, then she cried out for help from her colleagues who they rushed to stop the aggressor who escaped.

Then, the doctor called her husband, and they moved to the Raqqa police station. They filed a report number 159/2020 in Raqqa, after obtaining a medical report from Edan Hospital. According to the Labor Representative Office, the victim has been working in the Mubarak al-Kabeer Eastern Medical Center since 2010.
