Manchester Airport in the UK experienced widespread disruptions today, Sunday, with significant flight cancellations and delays following a power outage in the airport area.

A spokesperson for Manchester Airport confirmed that departures from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are affected, with a large number of flights expected to be delayed or canceled.

According to Reuters, the airport spokesperson stated that the power disruption has caused disturbances affecting various airport facilities.

Sky News was the first to report on the disruption, highlighting that the electricity supply has been restored, but the impact of the outage will continue to affect services throughout the day.

Passengers scheduled to depart from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 are advised to contact their airlines before heading to the airport.

The spokesperson emphasized that passengers scheduled to depart from Terminal 3 should proceed to the airport as usual unless advised otherwise by their airlines, but they may experience delays.
