A 78-year-old man was killed when a small aircraft crashed near Weilheim an der Teck in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, according to police and fire officials.
Authorities believe the ultralight plane went down at about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Due to the rugged terrain, rescue teams faced challenges reaching the crash site. Officials have not yet confirmed how many people were on board.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, and details regarding the plane’s departure point and intended destination have yet to be determined.
