The US Department of Justice announced that federal authorities have arrested a man in Pennsylvania for threatening to kill President Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials.
According to a statement released on the agency’s website, the FBI received information about social media posts made under the alias "Mr. Satan," where the suspect threatened to kill Trump.
The investigation revealed that 32-year-old Sean Mober, who was hiding behind this alias, posted these threats between January 15 and April 5.
The investigation also found that Mober had purchased a firearm after Trump’s inauguration.
The Department of Justice confirmed that Mober, a 32-year-old from Butler, Pennsylvania, is charged with threatening to attack and kill President Donald Trump, other US officials, and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
Mober's posts referred to ICE law enforcement officers as "terrorists," and he expressed the belief that it was necessary to "kill" Trump, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, and heads of all agencies appointed by the president.
FBI agents arrested Mober on April 9.
