President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on Saturday, a phone call from Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim.
Mohamed El-Shenawy, Official Presidential Spokesperson, stated that the Malaysian PM began the call by congratulating President Sisi on the strenuous efforts exerted by the Egyptian leadership and relevant authorities to reach an agreement for a cessation of the war in Gaza Strip.
He referred to Malaysia's pride in this historic achievement, and the brilliant success achieved by Egypt in organizing and hosting Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, and affirmed his country's full support for the Egyptian endeavors aimed at ending the war.
For his part, Sisi reviewed the outcomes of Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, and the intensive Egyptian efforts, in coordination with mediators, to implement the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza Strip.
