The White Cane Safety Day aims at advocating the rights of the visually impaired in Egypt and sheds light on the importance of the white cane and how to use it safely in a well-paved way. It also encourages the government and the civil society to take on their duty and role towards the visually impaired.

The White Cane Safety Day is celebrated worldwide on Oct. 15 every year to raise world's awareness on the contribution of blind and visually impaired people to their societies.
