Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Nabila Makram and Minister of Higher Education, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar have started their visit to the city of Al-Galala.
The ministers were accompanied by a delegation of Egyptians studying abroad, as part of the "Young Learners Abroad" initiative launched by the Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians' affairs abroad.
The initiative was directed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to introduce the efforts made in promoting Egyptian education, and to familiarize students abroad with the methods of education provided by Egyptian universities.
University for the future:
The visit aims to introduce students to this project (Al-Galala) as one of the giant national development projects launched by President El-Sisi, as it occupies an excellent geographical location and has a direct view of the Red Sea coast, which makes this project to become a global city on Egyptian soil.
In addition, Galala University includes 13 colleges, including medicine, nursing, engineering, arts, media, biotechnology, and others. The university is scheduled to open for study next year, it also includes a research and study laboratories that simulate those of the best international universities.
The tour also includes a visit to the yachting area, hiking the mountain promenade, and riding the cable car, which is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city and is extended for a distance of 4,500 meters.
Non-profit universities
The new universities such as King Salman International University in South Sinai, Al-Alamein International University in Matrouh, Galala University in Suez, and New Mansoura University, will play a role in placing these governorates on the scientific research map and on the way to development and urbanization.
These universities are non-profit established in partnership between a institutions group and NGOs as well as provides new educational programs and advanced educational materials that are concerned with the technological aspect and practical teaching in accordance with the international universities curricula.
