Iranian Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi affirmed, Friday, that Iranian armed forces are constantly monitoring US military’s movements in the region.

Speaking in a live TV program, Safavi said: “We know the strengths and weaknesses of American forces.”

Safavi mentioned that they monitor the US military's movements from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Gulf of Oman.

“We will never initiate a war but if US attack Iran or its interests, it will receive a very strong response,” the Major General stressed.

“I believe Americans are worried that we might carry out military operations on the first anniversary of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, which will also be the 40th day of the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh” the Major General stated, pointing out that Americans now have a defensive guard.

“Americans know that their forces are highly vulnerable in the region,” he noted, adding that military officials of the US are more aware of this than its politicians.

He referred to the military capabilities of Iran, stressing that the country is “able to drown American aircraft carriers in few hours.”

In the same page, US Senator Lindsey Graham warned Iran of miscalculations.

“You should not believe for a moment that American domestic politics has distracted us from watching your every move and if necessary responding to provocations with overwhelming force,” Graham wrote in a tweet. “You miscalculate at your own peril.”
