TV and radio presenter Injy Ali hosted Thursday evening Egyptian actress, Mai Omar on her program “Asrar El Nogoum” broadcasted on “Nogoum FM” radio station.
Omar discussed several artistic and personal topics, including her new TV series “Lua Lua”, which will be her first lead role in a TV series.
The 32-year-old actress confirmed that her role in the series is a completely different role from what she had previously presented.
It is written by Zainab Aziz and directed by Mohamed Abdel Salam. The series started production about 6 months ago, which was initially set to begin in August.
Omar explained that the series will be Abdel Salam's directorial debut, noting that she is not afraid because it is his first time as a director, as she previously collaborated with him several times when he was the assistant director of her husband director Mohamed Sami.
It will also be Aziz's first time to write a TV series, as she worked on more than one cinematic production.

“Lua Lua” is slated to be screened outside the Ramadan 2021 drama marathon, in which she participates with TV series “Nasl Al-Agrab” (The Descendants of the Strangers).
The series also stars two of Egypt and the Middle East celebrities, Ahmed El Sakka and Amir Karara, which is written and directed by Mohamed Sami.
Omar’s latest artistic work is TV series “El Fetewa”, which achieved great success during its premiere.
