A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck the Tyrrhenian Sea off the western coast of Italy, according to seismic monitoring agencies.
The German Research Centre for Geosciences reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 377 kilometers beneath the seabed.
The tremor was recorded in the Tyrrhenian Sea, located west of Italy.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties following the earthquake. Authorities and monitoring agencies continue to assess the situation.
