Magnitude 5 Earthquake Strikes Kuwait (VIDEO)

Video clips circulating on social media have documented the moment the earthquake occurred in Kuwait at dawn on Saturday.

A surveillance camera installed inside a house showed the moment of the earthquake in Kuwait, which measured 5 on the Richter scale. While other clips circulating on social networking sites monitored the extent of the damage in various places in Kuwait.

The supervisor of the Kuwait National Network for Seismic Monitoring at the Kuwait Institute Abdullah Al-Enezi said that the tremor occurred at exactly 4.28.02 am Kuwait time, at a depth of five kilometers underground, as felt by many citizens and residents across the country.

This comes as the Public Relations and Media Department of the Kuwait Fire Service Force announced that its operations department did not record any human damage as a result of the earthquake.
