“It occurred at a moderately shallow depth of 60 km beneath the epicenter in the afternoon on Thursday 21 January 2021 at 4:27 pm local time,” Volcano Discovery website.

Also, it was recorded by the Egyptian National Seimisic Network (ENSN), supervised by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics.
“Cyprus is an earthquake-prone zone but strong tremors are not common. The highest registered in recent years was a magnitude of 6.3 in 1996 but it caused little damage,” Reuters highlighted.
