Egyptian stars Maged el kedwany, Asser Yassin, and Hala Shiha have joined the cast of "Hepta: the last lecture” sequel.

The movie's sequel will be directed by prominent director Hady El Bagory.

Hepta: the last lecture first part had achieved a great success at the time of its debut in 2016.

The movie's production company is set to sign with the rest of the cast as they desire to premiere the movie during Eid al-Adha holidays in 2020.

Hepta: The Last Lecture is based on Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book.

The sequel is written by Sadek, and directed by El Bagory, the director of the movie’s first part.

Hepta: the last lecture revolved around the seven stages of love through four stories.

Sadek's novel topped the charts in Egypt and the Arab world for several weeks.

The movie’s revenues topped the Egyptian box office, which exceeded EGP 52 million, becoming the highest-grossing romance movie in the history of Egyptian cinema.

Hepta: the last lecture won more than 20 awards, including 10 awards.

It was also screened at Malmö Arab Film Festival, Arab Camera Festival in Rotterdam, Cairo International Film Festival, Mediterranean Film Festival of Annaba (FAFM), and the Arab Cinema Week in New York.

Hepta: the last lecture cast co-starred Amr Youssef, Maged El Kedwany, Ahmed Malek, Ahmed Dawood, Dina El Sherbiny, Yasmine Raeis, Jamila Awad, Hany Adel, Ahmed Bedeir, Salwa Mohamed Aly, Kinda Alloush, Anoushka, Mohamed Farrag, Nelly Karim, and Shereen Reda.

The adaption was scripted by Wael Hamdy.

The movie's theme song “Hekaya Wahda" preformed by Egyptian actress-singer Donia Samir Ghanem had also achieved tremendous success by surpassing more than 37,985,202 million views.

“Hekaya Wahda” is written by Amir Taema, and composed by Hesham Gamal.

Egyptian actor, Ahmed Dawood announced earlier this year that it became the second movie to get a Bollywood remake after the movie "122".
