Shipping giant Maersk launched a new service arrangement, replacing Ocean Network Express (ONE) as the vessel provider for the Adriatic Sea (AD1) joint service.
The service will continue to operate in cooperation with Admiral Feeders, with Maersk taking over vessel operations under the updated structure.
Following the change, Maersk will market the service under the name “Adriatic Sea”, while ONE will remain involved as a slot charter partner with limited port coverage.
The route has also been updated, with the addition of new port calls and the replacement of previous stops.
The new schedule replaces the previous calls at Aliaga and Piraeus with Haifa and Ashdod, expanding the service’s coverage across the Eastern Mediterranean.
The adjustment reflects ongoing changes in global container shipping networks as carriers continue to optimize capacity, port coverage and regional connections.
