According to a statement issued by the company responsible for Barajas Airport, Spain's busiest, it said: "Due to the power outage, some incidents have occurred at airports. Emergency generators are operating. Please check with your airline, as there may be disruptions to access and ground transportation."
Barcelona also experienced a similar situation, with people reporting a power outage. According to Spanish media, the power was out for about 40 minutes before being restored.
