Madbouly reviews medical oxygen supply in Egypt

In the face of a massive surge in demand for medical oxygen in light of the rapid outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly has taken a comprehensive review to ensure an adequate supply of medical oxygen is provided in all hospitals nationwide.

The Prime Minister, the Supreme Medical Council, and the Minister of Health Hala Zayed took a detailed review of the present situation of medical oxygen supply and its estimated demands in the various governorates which are witnessing a rapid rise in the coronavirus cases, according to a statement by the cabinet on Monday.

In this regard, Madbouly was informed that 3 million liters of Liquefied Medical Oxygen available with steel plants are being offered for medical use.

For her part, the Minister of Health indicated the availability of oxygen in sufficient quantities at all hospitals receiving coronavirus patients, including 40 governmental hospitals.
