Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the first offering of fully equipped factories for investors at Robbiki Leather City, a flagship project aimed at advancing Egypt’s industrial capabilities. The event, held in Badr City, was attended by prominent officials and international trade representatives, marking a significant milestone in Egypt's industrial and economic development.

The event was attended by Vice Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Kamel Al-Wazir, and Nahed Youssef, Chairperson of the General Authority for Industrial Development. The ceremony also hosted senior trade representatives from China, Italy, India, and other nations, emphasizing the project's global appeal and Egypt’s commitment to international industrial collaboration.

In his address, the Prime Minister underscored the government’s dedication to fostering a robust industrial ecosystem, emphasizing efforts to localize advanced technologies and promote sustainable practices. “The state is determined to create a business-friendly environment through substantial investments in infrastructure, utilities, and legislative reforms. These steps aim to position Egypt as a regional hub for industrial growth and innovation,” he stated.

Robbiki Leather City, recognized as a cornerstone for leather manufacturing in Egypt, was established to support and expand the country's leather industry while adhering to global environmental and quality standards. The city aims to transform Egypt into a major exporter of high-quality leather products, generating significant economic returns and creating thousands of jobs.

The newly inaugurated facilities include 43 state-of-the-art factories equipped with advanced machinery for leather product manufacturing. These factories are being offered to investors under favorable terms, including unprecedented financial incentives such as tax breaks, reduced utility costs, and streamlined licensing processes. The project also incorporates a dedicated leather research and development center, aiming to enhance product quality and innovation.

On his part, Al-Wazir highlighted that the project aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030, targeting industrial growth and export diversification. “This initiative is not just about factories but about fostering a complete value chain—from raw material processing to high-end product manufacturing,” he said.

The event also featured exhibitions showcasing cutting-edge leather products manufactured in Egypt, attracting interest from international buyers and investors. This initiative is expected to increase the country’s exports in the leather sector significantly, tapping into global markets and establishing Egypt as a competitive player in the industry.

The Prime Minister concluded the event by inviting both domestic and foreign investors to seize the opportunities offered by Robbiki Leather City and other industrial zones across Egypt. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing any challenges investors might face and ensuring long-term support for industrial ventures.
