Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, expressed his deep appreciation for attending the event in which the Public Prosecution handed over seized gold to the Central Bank of Egypt. The ceremony was held at the office of the Public Prosecutor in New Cairo on Tuesday evening.
Madbouly emphasized that the approach adopted by the Public Prosecution in handling the seized gold reflects a high level of institutional awareness. He noted that the gold was treated not as mere confiscated items, but as national assets that can be utilized to support the country’s gold reserves and strengthen the Egyptian currency.
The Prime Minister explained that the majority of the seized gold has been converted into high-purity bars to be delivered to the Central Bank, while a portion of the gold, distinguished by its historical and financial value, will be offered in public auctions to achieve the maximum possible financial return for the state.
