Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the New Year, during the government’s weekly meeting held at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

At the opening of the meeting, Madbouly conveyed, on behalf of the Cabinet, his sincere wishes to President El-Sisi, as well as to all Egyptians, marking the beginning of the new calendar year. He also offered special greetings to Egyptian Copts celebrating Christmas, expressing his hope that the year ahead would bring goodness, stability, prosperity, and continued growth to the nation.

During the session, the Prime Minister reviewed key activities carried out over the past week, including his participation in the inauguration of the New Giza University Hospital. He stressed the importance of private-sector involvement in developing Egypt’s health and education systems, noting that such projects complement the state’s efforts and contribute to improving the quality of services provided to citizens across the country.

Madbouly also highlighted his chairing of a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Social Justice, underlining the government’s strong focus on social protection programs. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to expanding services for beneficiaries, improving subsidy systems to ensure support reaches those most in need, and relying on accurate, integrated databases to support informed and balanced decision-making.

In this context, the Prime Minister noted the continued auditing and updating of beneficiary databases for subsidized food and bread systems, describing this process as a fundamental step in reforming and developing the subsidy framework.
