Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly highlighted the government's commitment to strategic balancing amidst international polarization. In a speech to Parliament on Monday, he emphasized Egypt's leadership in defending its interests on the global stage and its efforts to stop the Israeli war on Gaza.
Madbouly outlined the new government program, focusing on national security in water, food, energy, and cyber sectors. He detailed efforts to protect Egypt's water security through cooperation with Nile Basin countries, reduce water waste, and enhance food security by increasing crop reserves and improving agriculture.
On energy security, Madbouly discussed diversifying energy sources, improving efficiency, and developing infrastructure to position Egypt as a regional energy hub. He also highlighted plans to boost Egypt's international image through cultural and media initiatives, strengthen relations with Arab countries, and enhance international partnerships.
Madbouly stressed the importance of building a resilient economy capable of sustainable growth, targeting a 4.2% growth rate in the first year, and exceeding 5% average growth. The program aims to increase private sector participation, create jobs, and integrate the informal economy into the formal sector, fostering a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
