Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated that the government had previously announced its plan to lift fuel subsidies and the timeframe set for the end of the year.
The Prime Minister made this statement during the regular press conference following the weekly cabinet meeting in the New Administrative Capital.
Madbouly emphasized that the commitment to the fuel subsidy removal plan includes achieving inter-product subsidies. Diesel will not be sold at the same free price, and butane gas cylinders, for example, will remain heavily subsidized.
