Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouly and his Jordanian counterpart, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, chair on Monday the 30th joint higher committee meeting.
On Sunday, Madbouly received his Jordanian counterpart at the cabinet headquarters, where an official reception ceremony was held for the Jordanian guest and his accompanying delegation.
"The national anthems of both countries were played, and the guard of honor was reviewed," the cabinet official spokesman, Nader Saad, said.
The spokesman also added that the Jordanian PM arrived in Cairo on an official visit, heading a high-level delegation. It included the Ministers of Transport, Energy and Mineral Resources, Finance, Social Development, Industry, Trade, and Supply, as well as the Vice President of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), the President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), and a number of senior Jordanian officials, to participate in the meetings of the 30th joint higher committee.
Madbouly and his Jordanian counterpart held talks to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between both countries as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern, Saad noted.
Moreover, the spokesman added that Madbouly and Al-Khasawneh are set to sign a number of programs and protocols to enhance cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, plant quarantine, logistical areas, and youth.
