"Mad Max: Fury Road" director George Miller is gearing up to start filming his new prequel movie "Furiosa" in Australia.

A press conference with director Miller and Chris Hemsworth in attendance took place in Australian state New South Wales Monday to confirm that the spin-off is preparing to film in the territory next year.

Miller is now in post-production on his romance movie "Three Thousand Years of Longing" and afterward will begin working on "Furiosa", which will also star "The Queen’s Gambit" actress Anya Taylor-Joy playing a younger version of Furiosa, who was played in Fury Road by Charlize Theron.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also starring in "Furiosa" in an undisclosed role.
