Following the theft of priceless jewels from the Louvre Museum in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed that "the theft at the Louvre is an assault on a cherished heritage because it is part of our history."
Macron said in a post on the 'X' platform on Sunday: "We will recover the works of art, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice."
"We are doing our utmost, everywhere, to achieve this, under the leadership of the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office," he added.
