Macron to Meet Pope Francis on November 26

The French President Emmanuel Macron will meet Pope Francis on November 26 during his trip to Rome, Elysee Palace announced on Thursday.

It is expected that the French President will discuss various topics with the Pope of the Catholic Church, mainly the latest crisis of sexual harassment for people who are over 18 years old since 1950 according to the latest reports released.

The upcoming visit between Macron and the head of the Catholic Church will be the second.

Macron will start a mini European tour on November 24 by visiting Zagreb, Croatia. His Croatia trip will last for only two days.

In addition, it will be the first official visit for the French president to Croatia since the country's independence in 1991.

Moreover, This visit “will lead to the signing of a strategic partnership and the agreement between governments finalizing the supply of Rafale to Croatia," the statement highlighted.

Regarding Macron's Rome visit, the French President will sign a new treaty between France and Italy to enhance the bilateral ties between both states in several fields such as economy, trade, tourism, and culture.

The French President's tour is considered as preparation for France's presidency of the Council of the European Union that will begin on January 1, and for six months.
