French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Monday that France will not participate in the "Freedom Project" announced by U.S. President Donald Trump to restore navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, declaring, "We will not participate in anything that is unclear."
Macron made these remarks during his visit to Yerevan, Armenia, to attend the "European Political Community" (EPC) summit.
The summit is being held today to discuss urgent issues and explore strategic cooperation among the community's members in areas such as politics, security, and infrastructure.
The French President called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz through coordination between Iran and the United States. Concurrently, he emphasized that a ceasefire in Lebanon remains a fundamental necessity.
