In a joint press conference, Macron said that they have agreed to press ahead with their bilateral ties, on various levels.

He also described the military and security cooperation between France and Egypt as "ideal", stressing that both are working to combat terrorism threats.

Moreover, the French president revealed that a number of agreements would be signed on Monday and Tuesday in order to boost cooperation with Egypt in a number of fields.

On the international level, Macron said that France strongly rejects the violation of the countries' sovereignty in the eastern Mediterranean, referring to the disputes carried out by Turkey, despite European and international warnings.

Regarding the Libyan crisis, the French President affirmed that coordination is underway with all partners in order to support political dialogue in Libya.

Concerning Lebanon, Macron stated that it has topped his talks with President Sisi, expressing expressed regret at the failure of Lebanon's politicians to fulfill the anticipated political track.
