French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted Thursday night that France is "under attack", announcing that "soldiers will be more mobilized in the coming hours."
"As part of Operation Sentinel, between3,000 to 7,000 soldiers will be deployed," he added.
The French president addressed the Nice residents saying that "This is the third time that terrorism has struck your city, its inhabitants. I know the shock you feel, with you the whole country, and I believe it, the whole world. Let us not give in to any spirit of terror."
Addressing all French citizens, Macron said "Whatever your religion is, ya you are a believer or not, we must unite at these times. Do not give in to the spirit of pision."
