Macron, Algerian President Discuss Bilateral Ties over Phone

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed Tebboune's upcoming visit to Paris, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.

This came during a phone call, where both presidents exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the New Year, according to a statement by the Algerian presidency.

The Algerian president also held a phone call with his Tunisian counterpart, Kais Saied, on December 31, 2023. 

Tebboune congratulated Saied on the occasion of the New Year, wishing him and the Tunisian people "continued progress and prosperity."

Saied, according to the statement, thanked his Algerian counterpart, wishing him and the Algerian people "all progress and happiness."
