Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait was awarded on Friday the 1st class Order of Merit from the South Korean President Moon Jae-in in recognition of his distinguished efforts in removing obstacles and resolving problems facing the Korean companies and investments in Egypt.
Moon Jae-in also awarded the 2nd class Order of Merit to the President of the Egyptian-Korean Business Council, Khaled Nasser for his role in helping Korean companies to enter easily into the Egyptian market.
On behalf of the South Korean president, who was unable to travel to Cairo due to the Coronavirus, Korean Ambassador to Cairo Hong Jin-Wook gave orders to Maait and Nasser at a ceremony held here to honor them.
Jin-Wook said that this celebration is held in appreciation of the contributions of the two prominent personalities, who helped boost bilateral relations between Seoul and Cairo.
