Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Maait affirmed on Monday that the government continues to support efforts to transition to a "digital Egypt" despite the current global economic challenges and the severe pressures they pose on the state's general budget.
The minister stressed that the digital transformation in Egypt contributes to creating a more advanced educational environment based on the localization of global technology in order to graduate a generation of innovative young people who are able to operate and manage electronic systems in various sectors;
The minister explained that EGP 6.5 billion were allocated in the new budget to establish 24 private universities, and 3 billion pounds to four private universities "Al Galala, King Salman International, El Alamein International, and New Mansoura."
