Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, said the elaborate implementation of the economic reform program has made Egypt more capable of absorbing the shocks of successive international economic crises.

He pointed out that despite the difficult global situation, we aim in the fiscal year 2023/2024 to achieve growth of 5.5% of GDP and to put deficit and debt rates on a downward path.

The minister went on to say that Egypt become more aspiring to attract more domestic and foreign investments and to increase the percentage of private sector participation during the coming period.

The minister stressed that the global economic challenges make Egypt more determined to complete the development process, as the focus is on development priorities in preparing the state’s general budget and urban projects, as well as expanding the social protection network, especially for the neediest and most vulnerable groups.
