Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, called on the European Investment Bank (EIB) to provide more support for human and social development projects, climate change, and green projects in Egypt.

The minister urges the EIB to contribute to support the establishment of schools and aid the state’s efforts to extend the comprehensive health insurance umbrella for all Egyptians nationwide.

The minister explained that international and regional financing institutions can contribute to facilitating developing countries access to affordable, low-cost financing, especially in light of global economic challenges, including the high cost of financing in international markets.

In his meeting with a delegation from the European Investment Bank, headed by Lionel Rapaille, Director of Neighboring Countries at the bank, the minister expressed his appreciation for the bank's role in investing in infrastructure projects in Egypt.

Dr. Maait noted that Egypt looks forward during the coming period to supporting the state's efforts in supporting the transformation of the green economy, including Nufa projects.
