The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Qatar announced on Tuesday that Lusail Stadium, which is the biggest stadium set to host the 2022 World Cup matches, would host Saudi-Egyptian Super Cup between Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal and Egyptian League champions.
The match will take place on September 9th in the prescience of 80,000 fans.
Information about the stadium
The new stadium is located in the modern city of Lusail, 15 km north of the Qatari capital, Doha, and will host matches in all stages of the Qatar 2022 World Cup starting form Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia match on November 22th. It will also host the World Cup final, set to take place on December 18th.
It is worth mentioning that Zamalek are now leading the Egyptian League table with 66 points, followed by Pyramids sitting second with 59 points and Al Ahly, who are third with 55 points.
