Lufthansa, the German airline giant, announced today that it will resume flights to and from Tel Aviv starting February 1, following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.
However, Lufthansa confirmed that flights to Tehran will remain suspended until February 14, and flights to Beirut will not be resuming until after February 28, according to Reuters.
In early December, Lufthansa had extended its suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until the end of January 2025.
The company had initially halted its operations to Tel Aviv due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The resumption of services comes after international mediators brokered a ceasefire, allowing for the safe restoration of air traffic.
