A spokesperson for the German airline Lufthansa announced the suspension of night flights to and from Beirut from June 29 to July 31, due to the tense situation in the Middle East.

This decision comes amid escalating tensions between Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Israeli occupation forces, which threaten stability in the region, coinciding with the ongoing Gaza war between the occupation and Palestinian factions.

The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has intensified significantly in recent days, with several skirmishes occurring along the Lebanese-Israeli border. Hezbollah has attacked targets in northern Israel, and in response, Israel has launched strikes on southern Lebanon.

Earlier, the German government urged all its nationals in Lebanon to leave the country immediately due to the escalating security tensions on the border with Israel. This announcement was made in an official statement by the German Foreign Ministry, emphasizing the need to exercise caution and adhere to safety instructions.

The ministry tweeted on Platform X that the security situation in Lebanon has deteriorated markedly in recent weeks, posing a significant risk to the lives of German citizens residing or visiting the country.
