German airline group Lufthansa has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until Sunday, June 15, due to ongoing security concerns related to the escalating military conflict in Gaza.

The decision, announced Monday in Frankfurt, comes after renewed Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip sparked heightened safety fears across the region.

Lufthansa had initially halted flights to Tel Aviv in early May, following the near miss of a missile fired from Yemen that landed close to Ben Gurion Airport.

The extended suspension affects the entire Lufthansa Group, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, ITA Airways, and Lufthansa Cargo.

In a statement, the airline group emphasized that passenger safety remains its top priority. Affected travelers are being offered free cancellations or the option to rebook their flights at a later date.
