The spokesman for the General Command of the Libyan National Army, (LNA), Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, denied, on Thursday, that a meeting was held between the commander of the Libyan forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and a high-level American delegation.
"Some media circulated baseless news that a meeting was held between the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Haftar, and a high-level American delegation,” Mismari said, according to Russia Today reports.

"We would like to draw the attention of all local, Arab and international media that this news is not true and we officially deny it," he added.
He pointed out that "Our forces are stationed and fixed in their positions,” adding that the Libyan National Army (LNA) takes its decision on its own.
Moreover, Libyan credible sources confirmed that there are no declared or undisclosed agreements on the Libyan armed forces' intention to evacuate the oil areas or place them under the supervision of the United Nations in exchange for entering into a truce.
The same sources stated that the LNA will continue protecting the oil installations and fields and will not allow any threat to them to occur.
