Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė announced on Saturday that Lithuania plans to deliver another military aid package to Ukraine as Kyiv continues to confront Russian aggression.

Šimonytė made the announcement in Kyiv during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish President Andrzej Duda, according to Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

Šimonytė stated, “Lithuania’s position is clear and straightforward… Ukraine must win, and Russia must lose.”

This fall, Kyiv is set to receive approximately 5,000 drones from Lithuania. Prior to that, Lithuania will deliver air defense systems, missiles, and counter-drone equipment, along with ammunition and weapons, by early September.

Additionally, Šimonytė revealed that Lithuania will contribute €35 million ($39 million) for the purchase of radar equipment and mine detection tools. The specifics of the new military aid package were not disclosed.

Lithuania remains one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters. As of May, Lithuania had already provided military assistance worth approximately €640 million.
