Valdemaras Rupšys, the commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, refused to transfer the PzH howitzers and air defense systems to Ukraine, Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) reported.
At a meeting of the State Defense Council, Rupšys said that he "intends to submit a proposal to refuse to supply Ukraine with military equipment."
"I must have the tools. We cannot complete the task without having the strength, but the strength we have has reached the point where we can no longer take off our clothes. I will make such a suggestion, we must look for other means of support," he added.
The military commander noted that Venus will support Kyiv only if it manages to acquire new weapons and replace those currently in use.
