New York Governor Kathy Hokul said - in a tweet on the “X” social media platform, as reported by “Al Hurra” channel, Friday -: “My team is assessing the impacts and any damage that may have occurred, and we will inform the public throughout the day.”
The epicenter of the quake was near Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, 40 miles west of New York City, according to the US Geological Survey.
So far, there have been no reports of damage.
