Lieutenant General Osama Askar Meets Chief of Rwandan Defence Staff

Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met General Jean Bosco KAZURA, the Chief of Rwandan Defence Staff, and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt. An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense.

 The meeting focused on a number of issues of common concern in light of the bilateral military relations. This was followed by the concluding session of the second meeting of the Egyptian-Rwandan Military Cooperation Committee chaired by the Chiefs of Staff of both countries. They addressed the activities and fields of military cooperation and the transfer and exchange of scientific and training expertise between the two sides.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces stressed the depth of the cooperation relations between the armed forces and their counterparts in brotherly and friendly African countries, expressing his aspiration for more cooperation and continuous coordination to achieve the common visions that were reached during the meeting. 

For his part, General Jean Bosco Kazura affirmed the depth of relations between Egypt and Rwanda, praising the Egyptian efforts to support peace and security in all countries of the African continent.
