The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (Parliament), Abdullah Belhaq, announced yesterday, Monday, that the House voted unanimously in favor of the law criminalizing normalization with Israel.

The Council called for stopping the export of oil to countries that support the “Zionist entity (Israel)” if the massacres continue in Gaza.

Belhaq said: “The Libyan House of Representatives voted unanimously to approve the law criminalizing normalization with Israel, during a plenary session of the House in the city of Benghazi for articles related to adding some provisions to Law No. (62) for 1957 in particular.”

The Council decided to "address all state institutions to provide full support, aid, and facilities to our brothers in Palestine to confront the Israeli aggression that is devastating Gaza City."

Last September, the Libyan House of Representatives agreed to amend the law criminalizing normalization with Israel, to increase the penalties contained in Law No. 62 issued in 1957 criminalizing normalization with Israel.
