Libyan Speaker Denies Rejecting Gov't Resignation

Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives Counselor Aguila Saleh denies reports about his rejection of the resignation of the government.

Saleh confirmed that the resignation was referred, in accordance with the constitutional declaration, to the parliament for consideration.

Earlier, the interim government of eastern Libya has resigned amid street protests that erupted across the pided country over dire living conditions.

Prime Minister Abdallah al-Thani submitted the resignation of his government to Speaker Saleh.
