Libyan Prime Minister (PM) Abdul Hamid Dbeibah survived an assassination attempt, early on Thursday, as unknown attackers shot his car in Tripoli, according to local and international reports.
The incident took place as Dbeibah was on his way home, the sources said, adding that it was referred for further investigations. The perpetrators have not yet been arrested or identified, as they fled.
Dibaba's assassination attempt would exacerbate the crisis over control of Libya, according to Reuters.
