The Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh praised his 'fruitful' meeting on Monday, with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in light of the ongoing efforts to achieve the Libyan elections.
In press remarks, he added that important meetings will be held in Cairo in the coming hours, as he will meet during his current visit to Cairo with many Egyptian officials, in addition to the UN envoy to Libya, as well as the President of the High Council of State Khaled Al-Mashri.
He explained that the main objective behind the consultations is to secure the holding of the Libyan elections at the earliest opportunity.
