The Libyan Minister of Justice Halima Al-Busifi survived an assassination attempt as she was shot on her way to a family visit, Al Arabiya cited local reports on Friday.
Al-Busifi was moving around without any security measures or bodyguards' company as she was planning a personal weekend time with her family, according to local reports.
They added that a group of armed persons was not targeting the minister, they blocked the car for a robbery, but they stopped their plans after identifying Al-Busifi.
Moreover, the reports asserted that the official and her family are fine.
Also, reports from the Ministry of Justice confirmed the shooting incident, adding that the car of the minister was shot on the road between Al Sawani and Tripoli.
