On Friday, Chairman and CEO of Libyan Airlines Hamid Khaled Asbaga revealed that the company would reach an agreement to unify its board of directors. He added that a unified schedule will be drawn up for flights between the cities of Benghazi and Tripoli.

In a video recording, Asbaga confirmed the provision of a new plane for Benghazi, to start work on March 1st. This will alleviate the suffering of the citizens of the city and provide sufficient income for the salaries of employees and the company's expenses.

Earlier in January, the committee concerned with the selection of sovereign positions in Libya reached an agreement regarding a mechanism for choosing qualified people for senior posts in the country.

A member of the Libyan Politica Dialogue Forum revealed to “Sputnik”, a Russian News Agency, that the members of the Highest State Council and Parliament agreed, during the meetings in the Moroccan city of Bouznika, to distribute the sovereign positions into the three main geographical regions in the country.

Tripoli will be responsible for the Accounting Office and the Attorney General, while the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Supreme Court will be administered by the Fezzan Region and the Central Bank, and the Administrative Control by be directed by representatives of  Barqa Region.

The Libyan source stressed that the agreement will need to be ratified by the Supreme Council of State and Parliament after each party returns to its council.
