Libya will host the International Arab Media Dialogue Forum on December 11–12, 2025, in Tripoli, in implementation of Resolution 491 of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, adopted at its 52nd Ordinary Session in Cairo in September 2022.

The event will gather Arab information ministers, heads of media organizations and unions, diplomats, opinion leaders, and influencers to discuss key challenges and opportunities facing the Arab media landscape.

Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, met Thursday with a Libyan delegation led by Murad Al-Issawi, Advisor to the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, alongside Ambassador Abdul-Muttalib Thabit, Libya’s Permanent Representative to the League.

Discussions reviewed the forum’s detailed program, including sessions on media support for the Palestinian cause amid current developments, strengthening Arab identity in media content, and advancing Arab media professionals in the age of digital transformation. The agenda will also feature dialogue on artificial intelligence applications in the media sector.
