Legendary Author Nabil Farouk Passes Away

Nabil Farouk, legendary author and the founder of "Adham Sabry- Ragol El Mostahel" series passed away a few minutes ago after heart failure at the age of 64 years old.

The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem mourned the death of the icon, expressing, "The deceased was a real icon for adventure and detective literature. He contributed in forming the awareness of many generations."

Also, many authors mourned Farouk's death such as Ibrahim Abdel Meguid who posted "The genius who opened the doors of detective literature to and introduced it to Egypt."

Moreover, Turki Al Alsheikh remarked: "Farewell to the most celebrated detective literature author. I had a strong friendship with him."

On her part, Dr. Sherif Arafa wrote, "My generation is grateful to Farouk. His novels introduced us to unknown worlds."

Born in Tanta in 1956, Farouk was one of the earliest detective literature authors in the Middle East.

His early publications was part of the prestigious "Riweyat Masreya Lil Geeb" published by Al Moasasa El Arabia El Haditha.

"Ragol El Mostahel" was the most celebrated series about spying and intelligence troops in the Arab world.

Farouk is considered one of the literary icons for 1990s generations alongside Ahmed Khaled Tawfik.
